Abstract:
One of the most important works in the field of traffic safety is preventive. Traffic education of adolescents is one of the preconditions for the timely forming awareness of the importance of proper behavior in traffic. One of the problems of traffic safety is related to the insufficient knowledge of the traffic regulations, to be precise, to the insufficient knowledge of the rules of behaving of traffic which results in increasing number of traffic accidents. Considering a risk group of road users are young people aged 15 to 19 years, it is necessary to find the best way to found knowledge and traffic culture in the period of maturing adolescents. Traffic safety is not a problem of just one institution, yet it should include a larger number of traffic safety subjects. Large potential is in local community if we are talking about systematic performs in prevention of traffic accident with adolescents. On the other side, changes in existing curricula in this area should not be a job that will be done for a particular purpose only, but it must be approached seriously by analyzing existing programs and develop proposals for a new program. The main aim is to examine the impact of education on how it could change the knowledge and therefore the attitude of young people when it comes to participation in traffic.
