Abstract:
In the body of the landfill are performed complex bio-chemical processes in the decomposition of organic substances that can have a damaging impact on the environment. Seepage of rainwater through the landfill leachate arise - waste water dumps. It is a polluted liquid that percolate through layers of waste and at the same time received in themselves large amounts of polluted substances. The leachate from the landfill shall not be discharged into natural water course, soil or ground water without treatment because they can affect the pollution of water and soil, and therefore pose a danger to human health. The task of treatment is to remove the contaminated material from the water to the point that treated water can be emits without harmful consequences or that can be re-used. The paper describes the impact of the waste water dumps from the landfill municipal waste "Ramići" near Banja Luka on water quality in the stream Glogovac which is the recipient of landfill wastewater. The results obtained indicate the problem discharges degraded leachate from the landfill Ramići and therefore seek engagement and problem solving in order to protect the environment in general.
